NEX creatures are an archetype of creatures that first appeared in DM-32 Evolution Saga, and primarily appear in the Divine Evolution Saga (DM-32 to DM-35).

Toppa Lupia from DM-33 Rising Dragon was the first card to mention NEX in its card text, thus marking NEX as an archetype.

DetailsEdit

All NEX creatures are fire civilization Armored Dragons, with the exception of Master Lupia, Temporal Wing. They have close interactions with several creatures from the Lupia archetype such as Cutie Lupia and Galaxy Lupia.

Creatures in this archetype have unique designs. They either resemble the sun (like in Rising NEX, the Enlightened) or have spirals on their bodies (like with Bolshack NEX). Similar features can be found on Jack Raidou, Battle Dragon.

NEX creatures do not feature a common ability, and a synergy to build between them is difficult. They have been designed to to be independent of each other so it can be hard to feature them all in the same deck.

Cutie Lupia	Whenever one of your creatures with NEX in its name would be destroyed, you may return it to your hand instead.
Dravita, Temporal Pressure Spirit	Awaken — At the start of your turn, if you have 2 or more Flame Commands or creatures that have NEX in their name in the battle zone, flip this creature.
Dual Belforce, Blastdragon	If you have a creature with NEX or Double Cross in its name in your battle zone, this creature gains "Power Attacker +5000" and "Triple Breaker".
Galaxy Lupia	Meteorburn — When this creature attacks, you may put 3 cards under this creature into your graveyard. If you do, search your deck. You may put a creature with NEX in its name into the battle zone from it. Then, shuffle your deck.
Mach Lupia	You may have your creatures that have NEX in their name cost 1 less to summon. They can't cost less than 1.
Massu Lupia	Each of your other creatures in the battle zone that has NEX or Lupia in is name gets +1000 power.
Shadow Sword "Yagyuu" Dragon	If you have "Bolmeteus Samurai Dragon" or a Dragon with NEX in its name in the battle zone, each of your other Dragons get "Power attacker +4000" and break an additional shield.
Toppa Lupia	When a creature with NEX in its name battles, you may destroy this creature. If you do, untap that creature and it wins the battle.
