Initiate is a race of creature in the Light Civilization.

In the OCG, Initiates follow the name format "<something>の使徒 <name>". 使徒 (Shito) can either refer directly to an apostle (the 12 Apostles of Jesus Christ) or anyone else with a holy objective they're trying to accomplish. Thus, it can generally mean either "apostle" or "disciple".

Evolution creatures all have the title 聖天使 (Seitenshi), which means "holy angel". Their name is always two words, and the second word always ends in キューラ (-kyuura), which is taken from the end of the word "valkyrie".

Multiracial Initiates have the identifier 聖者 (Seija), meaning "saint".

In addition, many Initiates have German-sounding names.

In the TCG, all Initiates follow the naming scheme "<name>, Vizier of <thing>", such as Toel, Vizier of Hope. A vizier is a high-ranking official in certain Muslim states.

Evolution creatures use the same format as Guardian evolutions: "<name>, the <adjective>". The adjective chosen is generally more "extreme" than those chosen for the Guardians, though.

Multiracial Initiates also use the word "vizier" to be identified, such as Estol, Vizier of Aqua and Skysword, the Savage Vizier.

Initiates are artificial life forms that serve Light Bringers. When not in service, they hover in the air in a "holding" mode, awaiting their next order. Initiates are the most populous among Light creatures.

Constructed of alloy pieces and held together by an energy force field, their appearance varies according to their function. It appears that Hanusa is their creator or their activator.
