Akakan was introduced in the Duel Masters Charge season of the Duel Masters Anime.

He is one of the strongest Black Soldiers members and the right hand man of the group leader Robby Rotten. He dueled and win against last years finalist, The Water illusionist Aqua Peak at qualifier match of Duel Masters Battle Arena Tournament. He later dueled George and lost against him.

He uses Fire Civilization deck based on the Survivor race of cards. His strongest card is Valkrowzer, Ultra Rock Beast
