- A: When "Mastermind's" ability is activated, both players return all their shields to their hand. However, the player controlling "Mastermind" uses their cards with "Shield Trigger" first. Therefore, if the player controlling "Mastermind" manages to use a shield trigger ability that discards their opponent's hand, or uses a card such as Upheaval, the opponent will be unable to use their shield trigger card.
- If "Mastermind" is linked as a 3-part God creature when you summon it into the battle zone, you may use the 1st and 4th ability in any order.
- This allows you to break all of your shields and put them in your hand (and use any "Shield Trigger" cards), break your opponents shields (where they can use any "Shield Triggers"), and then choose to discard all the cards in his hand.
